Programs

Currently, there are 5 “flavors” to the Rush EN-Abled Vet Program

  • EN-Abled Vet Classic:

    • Mission:  Veteran is competitive for entry to lower mid-level IT jobs, primarily in end user technologies, networks and related technologies

    • 4 veterans admitted on a continuing rolling basis

    • Minimum requirements:

      • High school diploma or equivalent

      • DD 214 with honorable discharge

      • Familiarization with technology through MOS/AFSC or other experience

      • Strong desire for entry to mid-level IT level jobs

    • Original 13-week version concentrating on jobs and careers ranging from end user desktop technologies to networking

    • Pay is $12.50/hr., 4 days/week, straight time, no PTO nor benefits

    • Schedule:

      • Week 1:  Orientation

      • Weed 2-4:  Desktop deployment

      • Week 5-13 Job shadowing

    • Additional on line training via this portal also available

    • Pro bono resume refresh and mock job interviews during weeks 5-6

    • End goal:  Veteran is competitive IT jobs in Chicagoland and beyond

 

  • EN-Abled Vet Epic:

    • Mission:  Veteran is competitive for entry level jobs by gaining Epic certification in highly desired fields

    • 4 veterans admitted on a continuing rolling basis

    • Pay is $12.50/hr., 4 days/week, straight time, no PTO nor benefits for 13 weeks

    • Minimum requirements:

      • High school diploma or equivalent

      • DD 214 with honorable discharge

      • Medical or financial background highly desirable

      • Three years or less removed from military service

      • Strong desire for career in healthcare IT

    • Attend three weeks of training at Epic Systems, Verona Wisconsin

      • Successful completion of all projects and exams

      • Pro bono resume refresh and mock job interviews during weeks 5-6

    • End goal:  Veteran is competitive for entry level EPIC positions in Chicagoland and beyond

  • Epic Monitor Vets

    • Mission:  Veteran is competitive for entry level jobs in PC technologies

    • 4 veterans admitted on a continuing rolling basis

    • Pay is $12.50/hr., 4 days/week, straight time, no PTO nor benefits for 13 weeks

    • Minimum requirements:

      • High school diploma or equivalent

      • DD 214 with honorable discharge

      • Strong work effort and desire for desktop or IT customer service positions

      • Pro bono resume refresh and mock job interviews during weeks 5-6

    • Additional on line training via this portal also available

    • Pro bono resume refresh and mock job interviews during weeks 5-6

    • End goal:  Veteran is competitive for entry level IT or customer service jobs in Chicagoland  and beyond. 

  • Epic PC upgrade Vets

    • Mission:  Veteran is competitive for entry level jobs in PC technologies

    • 4 veterans admitted on a continuing rolling basis

    • Pay is $12.50/hr., 4 days/week, straight time, no PTO nor benefits for 13 weeks

    • Minimum requirements:

      • High school diploma or equivalent

      • DD 214 with honorable discharge

      • Strong work effort and desire for desktop or IT customer service positions
